Your own people know the best candidates. This turns that into a programme with rules, a ledger and a catalogue, rather than a spreadsheet and a promise.
How a referral works
- โ An employee puts a name forward, from the backend or from the portal, and an applicant is raised in Recruitment straight away
- โ Or they share a personal link for a job position. Anyone who applies through that link is credited to them without either of them typing a reference number
- โ The applicant carries the referral, so recruiters see who put the candidate forward and can filter and group on it
Points
- โ Four events can be worth points: the referral being submitted, the candidate being interviewed, the candidate being hired, and the candidate passing probation
- โ Interviewed and hired are read off the recruitment stages, so the programme follows whatever pipeline you already use
- โ A rule can be pinned to particular job positions, which is how a hard-to-fill role is worth more than the rest
- โ Points are paid automatically as the applicant moves, and an event is only ever paid once. Skipping stages does not lose the earlier awards, and moving a candidate back and forth does not pay twice
- โ Every point is a line in a ledger. Balances are worked out from that ledger and nowhere else, so any figure can be explained
Rewards
- โ A catalogue with a picture, a cost in points and a stock figure, or marked unlimited for things that cannot run out
- โ An employee claims a reward from the portal if they can afford it
- โ HR approves, refuses or marks it delivered. Approving commits the points and takes one off the shelf; refusing an approved claim puts both back
- โ The cost is frozen on the claim, so repricing a reward later never rewrites what somebody was charged
The portal
- โ Employees see their referrals and where each candidate has got to
- โ Their balance, what they earned and what they have spent
- โ The reward catalogue, with a claim button that only appears when they can afford it
- โ A leaderboard ranking colleagues by the points they have earned
Reporting and control
- โ Point history with pivot and graph views, by employee, event and job
- โ A printable point statement per employee and a voucher per claim
- โ Company-scoped record rules on every model, and referring employees see their own referrals and nothing else
- โ A scheduled action settles anything a data import moved behind the programme's back
- โ Requires Recruitment and the Portal. Nothing else.
