Odoo Support and AMC in Bahrain
Support is worth paying for when it prevents the outage, not just when it answers the phone afterwards.
What changes the cost of Odoo support and maintenance in Bahrain
The delivery method is the same everywhere. What moves the number is what this market demands of the system, and how much of that Odoo already covers.
Bahrain has no e-invoicing mandate to clear today. That lowers the build cost now, and it makes the invoicing design worth getting right anyway, because every market on this list that has since mandated one gave businesses months rather than years to comply.
17 of the 20 payment options that matter in Bahrain are not shipped with Odoo, so they need a paid connector or a build. 3 ship in the box.
11 of the 14 couriers used in Bahrain have no Odoo connector. 3 do. Which ones you actually use changes the estimate more than the number of users does.
Odoo's Bahrain localization does not cover everything. The gaps are listed on the country page and each one is either a build or a bought module.
Statutory payroll in Bahrain has its own rules. Whether Odoo ships a payroll localization for this market decides if that is configuration or development.

What odoo support & maintenance has to satisfy in Bahrain
The rules that decide how much of this is configuration and how much is a build. Everything below is from our Bahrain register, checked against a primary source.
There is no e-invoicing mandate in Bahrain as of 22 August 2026, for B2G, B2B or B2C. No law, technical specification, platform or go-live date has been published.
- Nothing is technically required today beyond the ordinary VAT tax invoice content rules.
- NBR groundwork so far: a taxpayer invoicing readiness survey in February 2022, an e-invoicing tender in July 2022, a request for proposal for an e-invoicing central platform in June 2023, and a further tender for a nationwide B2B system in February 2025.
- Market expectation is a Saudi ZATCA style centralised clearance model phased by turnover, with structured XML or JSON. That is expectation, not a published rule. An earlier January 2024 target lapsed without a mandate.
- Sensible ERP design today: keep invoice data structured and exportable, and avoid hard-coding numbering or archiving choices that would be painful to change when a specification lands.
- Tax VAT is 10%. The rate rose from 5% to 10% on 1 January 2022.
- Tax VAT registration is mandatory at BHD 37,500 of annual taxable revenue and voluntary at BHD 18,750.
- Tax VAT return frequency depends on size: monthly for taxpayers with annual taxable supplies above BHD 3 million, quarterly for those at or below BHD 3 million. Smaller taxpayers may ask the NBR to move to monthly filing.
- Tax There is no general corporate income tax in Bahrain. Oil and gas businesses are taxed at 46% of net profits.
- Tax A Domestic Minimum Top-up Tax of 15% applies to multinational groups with global consolidated revenue of at least EUR 750 million in at least two of the four preceding fiscal years, for financial years beginning on or after 1 January 2025. Purely domestic businesses are out of scope.
- Tax For in-scope DMTT groups: registration with the NBR within 120 days of the start of the transition year, advance payments within 60 days after each quarter end, the return within 15 months of the fiscal year end, and calculation documentation kept for five years after the fiscal year end.
- Accounting IFRS as issued by the IASB is required for all domestic public companies and is applied without modification. The legal basis is the Commercial Companies Law (Decree Law 21 of 2001), which requires financial statements prepared according to international accounting standards.
- Chart of accounts for Bahrain
- Taxes
- Two tax report layouts, a full VAT report and a simplified one
- Fiscal positions
- Bahraini governorates loaded as res.country.state records
- Arabic as a secondary language on invoices, credit notes, debit notes, vendor bills and refund bills, via l10n_gcc_invoice
- Expect less polish than the better-documented localizations. Bahrain has no dedicated fiscal localization page in the Odoo 19 documentation, unlike Oman, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The module manifest is the only official description of what it does.
- Payroll, entirely. There is no Odoo payroll localization for Bahrain. Of the GCC, only the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia are covered. SIO contributions at the Bahraini and expatriate rates, the nationality-driven GCC rule, and the 4.2% / 8.4% expatriate end of service remittance all have to be built or bought.
- WPS 2.0 file generation for the LMRA portal. A paid third-party module exists on the apps store, but the Wages Responsible Person workflow, the maker and checker roles, and the non-payment explanation fields are process work around the file, not just a file export.
- Domestic Minimum Top-up Tax computation, the 120-day registration, quarterly advance payments and the 15-month return, for in-scope multinational groups.
- Bahrainisation quota tracking, and reconciling headcount against the WPS data the LMRA now uses.

How we run the work
5 stages, the same in every market: Onboarding and baseline, Monitoring and alerting, Ticket handling, Preventive maintenance, Reporting and review. The method does not change by country, so it is written up once rather than repeated here.
The integrations this market usually needs
Badged by what it takes in Odoo. Anything not marked In Odoo is a paid connector or a build, and that is the part quotes usually miss.
Questions we get asked
- What do the response tiers actually mean?
- They are the time to a human working the ticket, not the time to a fix. A two-hour tier means someone is on it within two hours of it being raised. Time to resolution depends on what broke, and we report both so the difference stays visible.
- Do you support Odoo instances you did not build?
- Yes, after an onboarding review. We need to see the custom modules, the integrations and the hosting before we commit to a response tier, because promising two hours on a system nobody has read is not a promise worth much.
- Does Odoo have an official localization for Bahrain?
- Yes. Odoo ships 6 native items for Bahrain, covering the basics of the chart of accounts and statutory setup. 6 areas are still outside that localization and get built or bought separately.
- Is e-invoicing mandatory in Bahrain?
- There is no e-invoicing mandate in Bahrain as of 22 August 2026, for B2G, B2B or B2C. No law, technical specification, platform or go-live date has been published. The Bahrain e-invoicing page carries the full detail and the sources.
- What VAT or sales tax does Odoo have to handle in Bahrain?
- VAT is 10%. The rate rose from 5% to 10% on 1 January 2022.
- Do you work with businesses in Manama and other parts of Bahrain?
- Yes. Odoo support and maintenance runs remotely by default, and being based in one city inside Bahrain does not change the plan or the price. Cities we cover for on-site visits: Manama, Muharraq, Riffa, Isa Town. We travel on-site for discovery workshops and go-live week when the engagement calls for it.
