Odoo payment gateways in Kuwait

Every payment method and gateway that matters in Kuwait, with what each one takes to reach Odoo: shipped with the product, a community module, a paid connector, or a build.

Every payment rail we check for a rollout in Kuwait

19 entries, grouped by what each one costs you to reach from Odoo. The badge is the whole commercial question: shipped with the product, a community module, a paid connector, or a build.

In Odoo

4 of 19

Ships with Odoo. Configuration, not development.

Cash on delivery cash on delivery
In Odoo

Paying the driver in cash is still normal in Kuwait, and carriers that deliver there such as iMile sell cash on delivery with tracking as a product. In Odoo it means confirming orders before money exists and reconciling remittances against the courier statement.

Amazon Payment Services global gateway
In Odoo

Amazon Payment Services onboards merchants in Kuwait and lets you enable KNET beside Visa and Mastercard on the same account. It is one of the payment providers built into Odoo 19, so it is the least work between a Kuwaiti merchant account and a live checkout.

Bank wire transfer bank transfer
In Odoo

Transfer in Kuwaiti dinar remains normal for B2B invoices and high value orders. Odoo 19 ships a Wire Transfer method that shows your account details on the order and waits for manual confirmation.

Stripe (not available to Kuwaiti businesses) global gateway not available locally
In Odoo

Stripe ships inside Odoo 19, but Kuwait is not on Stripe's list of countries where a business can open an account, so a Kuwait registered company cannot collect in dinar through it. Plan on Amazon Payment Services, Tap, MyFatoorah, UPayments or Hesabe instead.

Community module

1 of 19

A community module exists. Install, test, and budget for keeping it current across upgrades.

MyFatoorah local gateway
Community module

MyFatoorah was founded in Kuwait and lists Kuwait first among the eight Middle East countries where it accepts payments. It is the only Gulf gateway here with a free Odoo 19 payment provider module, published by Cybrosys.

Paid connector

11 of 19

A paid connector covers this. Licence cost sits outside our fee and is quoted separately.

KNET domestic card scheme
Paid connector

KNET is the debit scheme every Kuwaiti bank issues on, processed in Kuwaiti dinar, and Checkout.com puts it at nearly 80 percent of online transactions in Kuwait. A Kuwaiti checkout without KNET is not really a Kuwaiti checkout.

Tap Payments local gateway
Paid connector

Tap holds an e-Payment Service Provider licence from the Central Bank of Kuwait as a Large EPSP and takes KNET, cards and wallets in one checkout, with the same account reaching Saudi, UAE, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar. It is also the rail Deema instalments run over.

UPayments local gateway
Paid connector

UPayments is licensed by the Central Bank of Kuwait as a Large e-Payment Service Provider and is one of the gateways Kuwaiti merchants shortlist for KNET and Apple Pay. A paid Odoo 19 connector exists on the apps store.

Hesabe local gateway
Paid connector

Hesabe is licensed by the Central Bank of Kuwait as a Large e-Payment Service Provider and is a common pick for KNET plus MPGS card processing. There is a paid Odoo 19 payment provider module for it.

Ottu local gateway
Paid connector

Ottu is used in Kuwait to sit in front of a bank gateway and split KNET and credit card into separate acquirers, which matters because KNET and card settlement behave differently. An Odoo 19 module exists that creates both payment providers for you.

KNET Payment Gateway (direct) local gateway
Paid connector

KNET runs its own payment gateway that government and private entities use to collect online, which skips the PSP markup but needs a bank relationship and a separate arrangement for Visa and Mastercard. There is a paid KNET connector for Odoo 19 on the apps store.

Unconfirmed. Sources agreed, no primary confirmation found.

Checkout.com global gateway
Paid connector

Checkout.com supports KNET for merchant entities in Kuwait, but on a gateway only basis, so you still need a direct contract with the local provider. Paid Odoo 19 connectors for Checkout.com are on the apps store.

Apple Pay mobile wallet
Paid connector

Apple Pay is carried by the Kuwaiti bank gateways, including NBK's, and by the local PSPs. It is turned on at the acquirer rather than added as its own provider in Odoo.

Google Pay mobile wallet
Paid connector

Google Pay sits alongside Apple Pay and Samsung Pay in NBK's list of supported methods for its merchant gateway. Like Apple Pay it comes from the acquirer contract, not a separate Odoo setting.

Tabby BNPL
Paid connector

Tabby serves a Kuwait localised site and is one of the two instalment names Gulf shoppers look for at checkout. Paid Odoo 19 connectors exist for both website and point of sale.

Unconfirmed. Sources agreed, no primary confirmation found.

Tamara BNPL
Paid connector

Tamara's own country selector lists Kuwait alongside Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain, offering pay in four with no late fees and a Sharia compliant structure. Paid Odoo 19 connectors are on the apps store.

Custom build

3 of 19

No connector we would put in production. This is scoped, priced and built.

WAMD instant bank transfer
Custom build

WAMD is Kuwait's real time payment scheme, run by KNET and available in the local bank apps, where the recipient registers the phone number linked to their account. There is no Odoo connector, so today it lands as a manually confirmed bank payment.

Unconfirmed. Sources agreed, no primary confirmation found.

NBK Online Payment Gateway local gateway
Custom build

NBK's merchant gateway takes KNET, Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay, and merchants apply through a branch or the NBK merchant acquiring team. Worth knowing because many Kuwaiti clients already bank with NBK and would rather add acquiring there.

Deema BNPL
Custom build

Deema is Kuwait's first licensed BNPL, works only in Kuwaiti dinar, and is enabled through a Tap account by charging the src_deema source. No Odoo module names Deema, so it is a small build on top of a Tap integration.

Checked Localization notes on this page checked on 22 August 2026.

Rates, formats, thresholds and submission windows change. We configure against the rules in force at build time and confirm every figure with your accountant or tax advisor before sign-off. If a rule moves after go-live, it is a support ticket, not a rebuild. Read more on our Odoo localization service.

How we build payments for Kuwait

The delivery method behind the list above. The same four steps on a 10-user rollout and on a multi-company programme, with the depth scaled to the scope.

  1. 1 Start from what buyers already carry. We pick the smallest set of providers that covers the methods your customers use, because every extra gateway is another reconciliation and another support surface.
  2. 2 Shipped providers first. Anything Odoo already carries is configured before anyone buys a connector. Paid connectors and custom work are priced up front, not discovered mid-project.
  3. 3 Four tests per provider. Authorization, capture, refund and a deliberate failure, run in sandbox, then repeated once in production with a small live amount.
  4. 4 Settlement is mapped to the ledger. Payouts, fees and chargebacks post to accounts your accountant agreed, so the bank reconciliation clears instead of leaving a suspense balance.

What we need from you to quote it

Bring these to the first call and you get a scoped, priced payments plan for Kuwait instead of a range.

  • โœ“ Your current gateway contracts and the fee schedule on each.
  • โœ“ A month of settlement reports, so the ledger mapping can be tested against real payouts.
  • โœ“ The currencies you collect in, and the entity that receives each payout.

Send us the list above with your answers against it. We come back with what is configuration, what is a connector, and what is a build, priced before the project starts.
