UPI is how most Indian shoppers now pay online, by scanning a QR or approving a collect request in PhonePe, Google Pay or Paytm. In Odoo 19 you switch UPI on as a payment method inside the native Razorpay or PayU provider, so no extra module is needed once you hold that acquirer account.
RuPay is India's domestic card network and a large share of Indian debit cards are issued on it rather than Visa or Mastercard. It is accepted through the native Razorpay and PayU providers in Odoo 19, so it needs no connector of its own.
Razorpay is the usual first choice for an Indian Odoo project because Odoo ships the connector and one account covers cards, UPI, net banking and EMI. Two things to plan for: recurring payments have to be enabled by Razorpay support on request, and transactions left uncaptured for more than five days are voided automatically.
PayU is the second Indian acquirer Odoo ships natively, and Odoo's documentation describes it plainly as covering India. Worth adding as a fallback provider so one gateway outage does not take the whole checkout down.
Net banking is still how many Indian buyers pay for higher value baskets, choosing their bank and finishing in the bank's own screen. It arrives as a payment method inside the native Razorpay or PayU provider in Odoo 19, with a long list of banks behind it.
Indian B2B invoices are overwhelmingly settled by direct bank transfer rather than card, often against a proforma. Odoo 19's built in wire transfer provider prints your account and IFSC details on the order and you reconcile the credit in Accounting.
Cash on delivery is still a large part of Indian ecommerce, especially outside the metros, and it changes the order flow because the order confirms with no payment taken. Odoo 19 supports this natively, and paid apps store modules add COD charges, OTP confirmation and pincode limits.
Adyen was authorised by the Reserve Bank of India as an online payment aggregator for domestic and cross border payments, so it can take INR, UPI, RuPay and global cards on one platform. Adyen ships as a native payment provider in Odoo 19, which suits an Indian arm of an international group already on Adyen elsewhere.
Odoo 19 ships a Stripe connector, but Stripe's own country page still lists India as Preview and it has been invite only for Indian businesses since May 2024, so signup is by sales contact and approval is not guaranteed. Treat Razorpay or PayU as the realistic default and Stripe as a maybe.
PayPal shut its domestic India payments business on 1 April 2021 and now handles only cross border, so an Indian merchant cannot use it to collect from Indian customers. The native Odoo 19 PayPal connector is still worth having if you export, but not as your India checkout.
Card EMI and pay later options carry real basket share on higher value Indian purchases and buyers look for them on the product page, not just at checkout. They come through the native Razorpay provider in Odoo 19 as part of its payment method list, so no separate BNPL connector is needed.

CCAvenue is a long established Indian gateway that many older merchants are already contracted with and do not want to leave. Odoo's own India entity publishes a free Payment Provider: CCAvenue module for Odoo 19 on the apps store, and several paid alternatives exist including an HDFC branded build.
Paytm is both a wallet Indian buyers keep topped up and one of the main UPI apps, so shoppers look for the name at checkout. Odoo IN Pvt Ltd publishes a free Payment Provider: Paytm module for Odoo 19.
PhonePe is one of the UPI apps Indian shoppers pay from most, and it also sells a merchant payment gateway. There is a free Payment Provider: PhonePe module for Odoo 19 from Odoo IN Pvt Ltd plus a second free one from Silver Touch, and several paid builds.
Cashfree is an RBI authorised Indian payment aggregator commonly used by mid sized online sellers for collections and payouts. Odoo IN Pvt Ltd publishes a free Payment Provider: CashFree module for Odoo 19.

- 2 Shipped providers first. Anything Odoo already carries is configured before anyone buys a connector. Paid connectors and custom work are priced up front, not discovered mid-project.
- 3 Four tests per provider. Authorization, capture, refund and a deliberate failure, run in sandbox, then repeated once in production with a small live amount.
- 4 Settlement is mapped to the ledger. Payouts, fees and chargebacks post to accounts your accountant agreed, so the bank reconciliation clears instead of leaving a suspense balance.
