Odoo payment gateways in Bangladesh

Every payment method and gateway that matters in Bangladesh, with what each one takes to reach Odoo: shipped with the product, a community module, a paid connector, or a build.

Every payment rail we check for a rollout in Bangladesh

16 entries, grouped by what each one costs you to reach from Odoo. The badge is the whole commercial question: shipped with the product, a community module, a paid connector, or a build.

In Odoo

Ships with Odoo. Configuration, not development.

Cash on delivery cash on delivery
In Odoo

Cash on delivery is still a normal way to buy online in Bangladesh and every domestic courier collects it, with Pathao, Steadfast and RedX all publishing COD terms. It changes the Odoo configuration because the money arrives from the courier settlement, not from the checkout.

Bank transfer via BEFTN and BD-RTGS domestic bank transfer
In Odoo

BEFTN handles interbank electronic transfers and BD-RTGS settles larger amounts in real time, and both are how B2B invoices actually get paid in Bangladesh. Odoo's built in Wire Transfer provider shows the account details and reference, then you confirm the payment manually once the funds land.

Stripe global gateway
In Odoo

Stripe's own country list does not include Bangladesh, so a Bangladeshi company cannot open a Stripe account even though Odoo ships the Stripe connector. Budget for SSLCommerz, aamarPay or shurjoPay instead of assuming the default option works.

Paid connector

12 of 16

A paid connector covers this. Licence cost sits outside our fee and is quoted separately.

bKash mobile wallet
Paid connector

bKash is a Bangladesh Bank licensed mobile financial service operated by bKash Ltd, and it is the wallet most online shoppers already hold. A Bangladeshi Odoo webshop that cannot take bKash is missing the default way people pay online here.

Nagad mobile wallet
Paid connector

Nagad runs under the Bangladesh Post Office with interim Bangladesh Bank approval and sits next to bKash on almost every local checkout page. Buyers expect to see both names or they abandon the cart.

Rocket (Dutch-Bangla Bank) mobile wallet
Paid connector

Rocket is Dutch-Bangla Bank's licensed mobile financial service and the oldest MFS brand in the country. Every major Bangladeshi gateway carries it, so it appears in the wallet list customers scan before paying.

Upay (UCB Fintech) mobile wallet
Paid connector

Upay is UCB Fintech Company Ltd's licensed mobile wallet and is listed by SSLCommerz, aamarPay and shurjoPay. Naming it tells a Bangladeshi buyer you know the wallet list beyond the two biggest brands.

tap (Trust Axiata Pay) mobile wallet
Paid connector

tap is Trust Axiata Digital Ltd's Bangladesh Bank licensed wallet and is offered by both aamarPay and shurjoPay at checkout. It matters to buyers banking with Trust Bank and to corporate disbursement flows.

Islami Bank mCash mobile wallet
Paid connector

mCash is Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd's licensed mobile wallet and is carried by shurjoPay. It matters for buyers who bank on Islamic terms and will not use a conventional card.

Pathao Pay mobile wallet
Paid connector

Pathao Pay is the wallet from the company that also runs Pathao Courier, and both SSLCommerz and shurjoPay list it. Merchants who already ship with Pathao often want the wallet on the same checkout.

SSLCommerz local gateway
Paid connector

SSLCommerz holds a Bangladesh Bank Payment System Operator licence and puts cards, ten mobile wallet brands, internet banking and bank EMI behind one integration. For most Bangladeshi Odoo webshops this is the single connection that covers the whole local wallet list.

aamarPay local gateway
Paid connector

aamarPay is operated by Soft Tech Innovation Ltd under a Bangladesh Bank PSO licence and accepts Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, Qcash, Nexus, bKash, Rocket, Nagad, tap, Upay, SureCash and OK Wallet. It is a common lower cost alternative to SSLCommerz for SMEs.

shurjoPay local gateway
Paid connector

shurjoPay is run by shurjoMukhi and says it was the first company to receive a Bangladesh Bank PSO licence, in 2016. It carries eighteen or more channels including bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay, tap, mCash, Pathao Pay and bank EMI across 36 partner banks.

NPSB domestic cards (Nexus, Q-Cash) domestic card scheme
Paid connector

The National Payment Switch Bangladesh links the banks for ATM, POS and internet banking transfers, and locally issued Nexus and Q-Cash cards ride on it. SSLCommerz and aamarPay both accept Nexus and Q-Cash, so these cards reach an Odoo checkout through a gateway rather than directly.

Bank card EMI (instalments) installments
Paid connector

Card holders in Bangladesh routinely split larger purchases into monthly instalments through their issuing bank, and SSLCommerz offers this across 30 or more banks while shurjoPay covers 36. For electronics, furniture and appliance sellers this is what closes the higher value orders.

Custom build

1 of 16

No connector we would put in production. This is scoped, priced and built.

TakaPay (National Card Scheme) domestic card scheme
Custom build

TakaPay is Bangladesh Bank's own card scheme, routed through the National Payment Switch Bangladesh and issued by local banks for ATM, POS and QR use. Odoo has no TakaPay integration of any kind, so a merchant who needs it is looking at custom work.

Checked Localization notes on this page checked on 22 August 2026.

Rates, formats, thresholds and submission windows change. We configure against the rules in force at build time and confirm every figure with your accountant or tax advisor before sign-off. If a rule moves after go-live, it is a support ticket, not a rebuild. Read more on our Odoo localization service.

How we build payments for Bangladesh

The delivery method behind the list above. The same four steps on a 10-user rollout and on a multi-company programme, with the depth scaled to the scope.

  1. 1 Start from what buyers already carry. We pick the smallest set of providers that covers the methods your customers use, because every extra gateway is another reconciliation and another support surface.
  2. 2 Shipped providers first. Anything Odoo already carries is configured before anyone buys a connector. Paid connectors and custom work are priced up front, not discovered mid-project.
  3. 3 Four tests per provider. Authorization, capture, refund and a deliberate failure, run in sandbox, then repeated once in production with a small live amount.
  4. 4 Settlement is mapped to the ledger. Payouts, fees and chargebacks post to accounts your accountant agreed, so the bank reconciliation clears instead of leaving a suspense balance.

What we need from you to quote it

Bring these to the first call and you get a scoped, priced payments plan for Bangladesh instead of a range.

  • โœ“ Your current gateway contracts and the fee schedule on each.
  • โœ“ A month of settlement reports, so the ledger mapping can be tested against real payouts.
  • โœ“ The currencies you collect in, and the entity that receives each payout.

Scope payments for your Bangladesh rollout.

Send us the list above with your answers against it. We come back with what is configuration, what is a connector, and what is a build, priced before the project starts.
