Mada Odoo Integration
Saudi domestic card scheme.
Mada is the Saudi domestic card scheme, and it is the card most shoppers in the Kingdom actually hold. It is not a connector you install on its own. Acceptance is enabled through the gateway you already use, and the Odoo work is configuration plus routing: presenting the brand at checkout, sending the transaction down the right path, and labelling receipts and journal entries so finance can tell domestic card volume apart from international.
What syncs between Mada and Odoo
- โ Brand selection at checkout: Odoo to gateway, one-way, so the buyer sees the domestic card option where it applies.
- โ Authorization and capture results: gateway to Odoo, one-way, posted against the originating order or invoice.
- โ Refunds: Odoo to gateway, one-way, against the original transaction reference.
- โ Scheme label on the transaction: gateway to Odoo, one-way, kept on the payment record so reporting can split domestic from international volume.
- โ Settlement batches: gateway to Odoo, one-way, imported for bank reconciliation.
How we implement it
- 1 Confirm acceptance with your gateway
Acceptance is arranged with your acquirer or gateway provider. Nothing in Odoo can enable it on its own.
- 2 Enable the brand in the provider record
Add the brand to the Odoo payment provider so it appears at checkout for the right currency and country.
- 3 Routing and card-type logic
Co-badged cards can be sent down more than one path. Agree the routing rule, then prove it with test cards rather than assuming.
- 4 Receipt and journal labelling
Show the scheme on the customer receipt and keep it on the payment record so the finance team can report by scheme.
- 5 Live verification
Run a low-value live transaction with a real domestic card and follow it through to the settlement report.

Mada and Odoo: common questions
Is there a Mada connector for Odoo?
No, and there does not need to be. Mada is accepted through a gateway such as HyperPay or PayTabs. Once the brand is live on your merchant account, Odoo needs configuration, not a new integration.
Why do some cards show as international?
Co-badged cards can route either domestically or through an international scheme depending on how the transaction is sent. Getting that routing right is the main technical decision here.
Can we accept it in the shop and on the POS?
Yes. The website uses the online gateway, while the shop counter normally uses a card terminal. Both can post into the same Odoo journals so the day-end figure is one number.
Does it change how refunds work?
No. Refunds go back through the original transaction reference at your gateway, and Odoo raises the matching credit note as it would for any card payment.
Other payments integrations
Need a connector that is not on the list?
Custom REST, GraphQL, webhook, EDI and flat-file integrations, built with retry, idempotency and audit logging so a failed message is visible instead of lost.
