Odoo payment gateways in Germany

Every payment method and gateway that matters in Germany, with what each one takes to reach Odoo: shipped with the product, a community module, a paid connector, or a build.

Every payment rail we check for a rollout in Germany

19 entries, grouped by what each one costs you to reach from Odoo. The badge is the whole commercial question: shipped with the product, a community module, a paid connector, or a build.

In Odoo

12 of 19

Ships with Odoo. Configuration, not development.

PayPal global gateway
In Odoo

PayPal is the button German shoppers expect first at online checkout, and leaving it off measurably costs conversions. Odoo 19 ships the PayPal provider with EUR support and no extra module.

SEPA Lastschrift (SEPA Direct Debit) instant bank transfer
In Odoo

Lastschrift is the everyday German way to pay recurring and invoiced amounts, and EHI's 2026 retail study still counts it among the main methods. Odoo 19 ships SEPA Direct Debit both as an offline payment method and as a payment method record listing Germany, and the bundled Stripe, Adyen and Mollie connectors all carry it.

Vorkasse (bank transfer prepayment) instant bank transfer
In Odoo

German buyers, especially B2B, still pay a good share of orders by transferring first and receiving after the money lands, which changes how you set order confirmation and stock reservation in Odoo. Odoo 19 ships Wire Transfer as a built in method, and Novalnet's free Odoo 19 module exposes Prepayment explicitly.

Ratepay local gateway
In Odoo

Ratepay is the German white label provider behind invoice, direct debit and pay in 3 on many DACH checkouts, is BaFin regulated and sits under the Nexi group. Odoo 19 ships a Ratepay payment method restricted to Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

Riverty (AfterPay) BNPL
In Odoo

Riverty, formerly Arvato and AfterPay, is the other main German pay after delivery name and is offered through Mollie. Odoo 19 ships an AfterPay Riverty payment method restricted to the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria and Finland.

Unconfirmed. Sources agreed, no primary confirmation found.

Klarna BNPL
In Odoo

Klarna covers the German trio of pay now, pay in 30 days and pay in instalments on one integration. Odoo 19 ships Klarna, Klarna Pay Now and Klarna Pay over time as payment methods, and Germany appears in all three country lists.

Stripe global gateway
In Odoo

Stripe is available to German businesses and settles in EUR, and it carries Klarna and SEPA Direct Debit for German customers. Odoo 19 ships the Stripe connector, so it is the fastest path to a working German checkout.

Adyen global gateway
In Odoo

Adyen is the acquirer behind many larger German retailers and covers cards, SEPA direct debit and pay by bank on one contract. Odoo 19's bundled Adyen connector maps SEPA direct debit and open banking directly.

Mollie global gateway
In Odoo

Mollie supports German language checkout, lists Klarna, Billie, Riverty, SEPA bank transfer and direct debit for the German market, and is one of the providers Odoo 19 ships. That makes it the usual single contract answer for a German webshop.

Worldline global gateway
In Odoo

Worldline is one of the large European acquirers active in the DACH region and is often already in place at established German merchants. Odoo 19 ships a Worldline payment provider, so an existing contract can be reused without buying a module.

Unconfirmed. Sources agreed, no primary confirmation found.

Trustly instant bank transfer
In Odoo

Trustly moves money account to account and is one of the surviving German online banking options now that Sofort and giropay have both closed. Odoo 19 ships a Trustly payment method with Germany in its country list.

Unconfirmed. Sources agreed, no primary confirmation found.

Amazon Pay mobile wallet
In Odoo

Amazon Pay is well established in Germany because it reuses the address and card already held in a shopper's Amazon account. Odoo 19 ships Amazon Pay as a payment method and Stripe lists Germany among its supported customer locations.

Community module

2 of 19

A community module exists. Install, test, and budget for keeping it current across upgrades.

Kauf auf Rechnung (open invoice) local gateway
Community module

Buying on invoice and paying afterwards is the German habit that most surprises foreign sellers, and it forces a real credit and dunning setup rather than a card only checkout. Novalnet's free LGPL-3 module for Odoo 19 exposes Invoice, Invoice with Payment Guarantee and instalments by invoice.

Novalnet local gateway
Community module

Novalnet is a German payment service provider that publishes its own free Odoo 19 module under LGPL-3, covering cards, SEPA direct debit, prepayment, invoice, invoice with payment guarantee and instalments. It is the cheapest route to a German method set without buying a connector.

Paid connector

1 of 19

A paid connector covers this. Licence cost sits outside our fee and is quoted separately.

Wero instant bank transfer
Paid connector

The European Payments Initiative wallet, now live for online payments in Germany, France and Belgium. It is account-to-account rather than card, so it matters for German shoppers who avoid cards. Reached through a gateway, not shipped in Odoo.

Unconfirmed. Sources agreed, no primary confirmation found.

Custom build

4 of 19

No connector we would put in production. This is scoped, priced and built.

girocard domestic card scheme
Custom build

girocard is Germany's own debit scheme, run by EURO Kartensysteme, with roughly 100 million cards in circulation and around 80 percent of Germans holding one. It is a shop counter scheme, not an online one: since giropay closed there is no girocard ecommerce route, Odoo 19 ships no girocard method, and any online acceptance would be a custom build.

PAYONE local gateway
Custom build

PAYONE is a German payment service provider frequently already installed at mid sized German retailers, so it comes up in almost every migration conversation. The Odoo apps store returns no PAYONE connector for Odoo 19, so budget a custom build or plan to move the merchant to a bundled provider.

Unzer local gateway
Custom build

Unzer, formerly Heidelpay, is a Heidelberg based provider common with German mid market ecommerce. A search of the Odoo apps store returned zero Unzer modules for Odoo 19, so this is a custom build and should be priced as one.

Computop local gateway
Custom build

Computop is a Bamberg based gateway used by German retail and travel businesses with multi channel card volume. The Odoo apps store returned zero Computop modules for Odoo 19, so integration means writing the connector.

Rates, formats, thresholds and submission windows change. We configure against the rules in force at build time and confirm every figure with your accountant or tax advisor before sign-off. If a rule moves after go-live, it is a support ticket, not a rebuild. Read more on our Odoo localization service.

How we build payments for Germany

The delivery method behind the list above. The same four steps on a 10-user rollout and on a multi-company programme, with the depth scaled to the scope.

  1. 1 Start from what buyers already carry. We pick the smallest set of providers that covers the methods your customers use, because every extra gateway is another reconciliation and another support surface.
  2. 2 Shipped providers first. Anything Odoo already carries is configured before anyone buys a connector. Paid connectors and custom work are priced up front, not discovered mid-project.
  3. 3 Four tests per provider. Authorization, capture, refund and a deliberate failure, run in sandbox, then repeated once in production with a small live amount.
  4. 4 Settlement is mapped to the ledger. Payouts, fees and chargebacks post to accounts your accountant agreed, so the bank reconciliation clears instead of leaving a suspense balance.

What we need from you to quote it

Bring these to the first call and you get a scoped, priced payments plan for Germany instead of a range.

  • โœ“ Your current gateway contracts and the fee schedule on each.
  • โœ“ A month of settlement reports, so the ledger mapping can be tested against real payouts.
  • โœ“ The currencies you collect in, and the entity that receives each payout.

Scope payments for your Germany rollout.

Send us the list above with your answers against it. We come back with what is configuration, what is a connector, and what is a build, priced before the project starts.
