DHL Express handles German outbound international air freight and time definite deliveries, a separate business from DHL Paket. It is one of the ten delivery connectors Odoo 19 ships, so rating and labels work with no purchase.
UPS is a standard choice for German manufacturers and B2B exporters on European and transatlantic lanes. Odoo 19 ships a UPS connector, and OCA also maintains delivery_ups_oca on the 18.0 branch.
FedEx covers German international express volume and has absorbed the former TNT business. Odoo 19 ships a FedEx connector out of the box.
Sendcloud is the only aggregator Odoo 19 ships a connector for, and Odoo's documentation names Germany as a supported shipping from country. Be clear about what that buys: Odoo talks to Sendcloud, not to DHL or Hermes, so a paid Sendcloud plan and its carrier contracts are a required dependency.
Community module
2 of 14A community module exists. Install, test, and budget for keeping it current across upgrades.
Freight and groupage across Germany. DSV completed its purchase of DB Schenker on 30 April 2025 and the network is being folded into DSV, so contracts and labels are moving to the DSV brand. No Odoo connector, so freight bookings stay manual or need a build.
Dachser is a German headquartered groupage and contract logistics operator common with industrial and food clients. OCA maintains a free delivery_dachser module on the 18.0 branch, with no 19.0 version in the repository yet, so plan for the port.
Paid connector

DHL Paket is the German domestic parcel arm of Deutsche Post DHL and is the default for consumer deliveries, with Packstation lockers, two person handling and returns. Odoo's own documentation says its native DHL connector covers DHL Express only and that other DHL services are not supported, so DHL Paket needs a paid apps store module.
Deutsche Post carries letters, Warenpost and small light goods that would be overpriced as a parcel, which matters for German sellers of small items. There is no native Odoo connector, so it comes from a paid apps store module.
Hermes Germany still trades under the Hermes brand in Germany, unlike its former UK sister which became Evri, and runs PaketShops, home delivery and bulky goods handling. Several paid Odoo 19 connectors exist, including one built on Hermes HSI credentials.
DPD is a main German B2B and B2C parcel network with Predict delivery windows and Pickup shops. Odoo 19 has no bundled DPD connector, and note the free Cognisance module is only free at the module level: its carrier features require a paid Cognisance Bridge subscription.
GLS is widely used by German B2B senders and by shops that need flexible delivery and returns. Around thirteen Odoo 19 modules exist, and as with DPD the free Cognisance module still needs a paid Cognisance Bridge plan behind it.
shipcloud is a German built multi carrier platform that reaches DHL, DPD, GLS, Hermes and UPS from one API, which suits shops that split volume by parcel size. Odoo 19 has no bundled connector, so it needs a paid apps store module on top of the shipcloud subscription.
Cognisance is a German vendor whose Odoo 19 DPD and GLS modules are listed at zero euros but route carrier calls through its own Bridge service. Treat the carrier as reached through a paid aggregator, because the Shipping Basic or Pro plan is what actually makes labels work.
trans-o-flex runs express and temperature controlled networks across Germany for pharmaceutical, cosmetics and high value electronics shippers, with GDP compliant 2 to 8 and 15 to 25 degree services. One paid Odoo 19 connector is on the apps store.

- 1 Four integrations, not one. Rating, label printing, tracking and cash on delivery reconciliation are separate pieces of work with separate failure modes, and they are quoted separately.
- 2 Carrier accounts confirmed before build. Test credentials rarely carry your negotiated rates, so we validate account numbers and rate cards with the carrier before the connector is written.
- 3 No connector means we build one. Where a carrier has no Odoo integration we build against their API with retry, idempotency and stored responses, and we hand over the code.
- 4 Returns go back into stock. Failed deliveries and returns are wired to real stock moves, so inventory stays true without someone correcting it by hand every week.
